Digital images are recorded on hard drives, which can be stored locally or transferred off site for added security; there is no degradation of image quality due to storage, most cameras have built in motion detection and audio capability.

External cameras are designed to function in extremes of temperature and humidity; they are equipped with day/night functionality which enables them to automatically record in very low light situations. With added Infra Red illuminators you can even record in total darkness.
